I grew up in Hingham, Massachusetts and have worked at the Arnold Arboretum since 2008. I am a certified arborist with the International Society of Arborists and a Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional. Prior to arriving at the Arboretum, my work history focused on landscape construction, including seven years with two south shore companies. Working with a crew, our projects included creating stone and concrete walls, walkways, and patios, as well as work centered on grading, drainage, plantings, and general maintenance. At the Arboretum, I am responsible for the care of management zones surrounding the Hunnewell Building, Peters Hill gates area and summit, and areas that include the birch, euonymus, and zelkova collections. The majority of my time is spent on special projects, such as rebuilding our secondary paths, working on rainwater mitigation and landscape drainage projects, and the renovation of the Bradley Rosaceous Collection.
I love to be outside, so I particularly love that aspect of my job. In addition to landscape projects, I enjoy spending my free time boating and fishing in the summer and skiing during the winter.
