Accessibility: Grounds
All paved roads of the Arnold Arboretum are accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. The two highest elevations within the Arboretum are Bussey Hill (198 ft) and Peters Hill (240 ft). The grounds are closed to vehicular traffic except by permit for special-needs individuals. A limited number of permits or a wheelchair for loan (first-come, first-served) are available; click here for more information.

The Hunnewell Building Visitor Center is wheelchair-accessible, including the bathrooms on the ground floor.

Parking
3 designated parking spaces for visitors with disabilities can be found just outside the main gate at 125 Arborway.
Public Transit
The closest T-Station to the Arnold Arboretum is Forest Hills on the Orange Line. An elevator takes you from the platform up to street level. You may also take the # 39 bus to the Custer Street Stop in Jamaica Plain. See directions [link] for more details.
