Beeches are an ornamental highlight at the Arboretum, all year long. As you can see from this image, the branches begin to unleash their foliage which by summer turns a deep, dark green and then in fall creates a grand, golden display. Danny Schissler, Research Assistant in the Friedman Lab, offers a closer look at the Arboretum’s Beech Collection in the Spring 2017 issue of Silva.
