
Metasequoia in the fall
Dawn redwood (
Metasequoia glyptostroboides) is one of the few conifers that are deciduous rather than evergreen. The foliage on specimens at the Arboretum has been displaying orangish russet autumn color and is now starting to fall. Read all about this unique “living fossil.”
