September 24-30, 2019 is Climate Preparedness Week at the Arnold Arboretum, and we have a slew of activities lined up for participants of all ages. The initiative cannot come soon enough–despite evident lack of proactive policy changes to reduce emissions, September has seen encouraging youth mobilization in climate activism, in addition to this week’s U.N. Climate Summit. More needs to be done to address climate change, and ensure better living standards for future generations.

These challenges can be addressed and resolved. We can begin through engaging each other in live conversation. This image of the “Dia-Logs: Encouraging Climate Conversations” installation immediately southwest of the Hunnewell Building (Main Entrance) includes durable activity sheets designed to engage the public in conversation. Join/form a circle and discuss these very urgent challenges facing us today while interacting with our historic landscape in a whole new way.
