David Boufford is a Senior Research Scientist at Harvard University Herbaria, a visiting scientist at the Arnold Arboretum, and a specialist on vascular plants of Asia. Since 1997, he has worked on determining the western and southern boundaries of the Hengduan Mountain hotspot while continuing to collect specimens of vascular plants, bryophytes, and fungi. Dr. Boufford has also done fieldwork in Bhutan, Japan, South Korea, Nepal, and Taiwan.
