On Saturday, August 11, 2018, Arnold Arboretum Children’s Education Fellow Ana Maria Caballero McGuire will lead a tour through the meadow and north woods for a Family Hike – Let’s Take a Journey, Let’s Make it “Stick”!

One adult may bring a maximum of three children; suitable for children ages five through twelve. The group will meet in the Visitor Center.

The Journey Stick is an ancient form of way-finding and storytelling used by Aboriginals and Native Peoples. Read more about the history of journey sticks, their color and variety, how to make them, and how to prepare your family and friends for the hike.
