I care for the Arboretum’s oak, hornbeam, mountain laurel, and corkwood collections. I am also responsible for managing some of the Arboretum’s wilder, naturalized landscapes such as Bussey Brook, the Rockery, and the Meadow.
I have spent most of my life working with natural and anthropogenic landscapes—particularly grasslands—as a farmer, field researcher, and horticulturist. Prior to joining the horticulture team at Arnold Arboretum, I managed the Meadow Garden at Longwood Gardens from 2014 to 2018 as a land stewardship technician. My professional interests include invasive species control, environmental restoration, invertebrate conservation, and fire ecology. An avid lepidopterist, I am always on the lookout for interesting caterpillars, moths, and butterflies.
