BS Plant Biology; University of California, Irvine
In Winter 2014, I joined the Friedman Lab here at the Arnold Arboretum upon graduating as the last Plant Biology major at University of California, Irvine. During my undergraduate career, I explored botany from the developmental, agricultural, and ecological perspective and cultivated an interest in microscopy. Soon after graduation, I was invited into the Friedman Lab, where I now assist the postdoc and graduate student in their research endeavors to understand various aspects of angiosperm (flowering plant) reproductive and fertilization biology and embryology through various microscopic techniques.
