The Shape of Things: Plants and their Structure

Rhoda Kubrick, Arboretum Docent

Sunday, April 9, 1:00-2:30pm
Location: Hunnewell Building

From the mulberries to euonymus, contorted plants are ever fascinating. With an emphasis on tree architecture, docent Rhoda Kubrick will lead you into the little explored, but wide, variety in plant shape and size. Examine witch hazel, holly, pieris, seven son flower, and more. Learn that there are traditional shapes for plants, but often the traditional is altered under the influence of sunlight, space, and other aspects of a plant’s environment.
