Arnold Arboretum annual fund

Support the Arnold Arboretum as an international center for plant study, community resource for education, and free and open landscape of trees and shrubs from around the world. Read the 2019 appeal letter by Director William (Ned) Friedman, and donate online to the Arnold Arboretum by December 31 to help us end the year with vigor!

The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University is largely self-financed, funding its programs in botanical research, education, and horticulture through a private endowment built and maintained by past and present philanthropy.

From early gifts made by friends of founding director Charles Sprague Sargent to today’s annual contributions by members of the Friends of the Arnold Arboretum, the institution has developed and thrived through the generosity of the supporting public.

The Arboretum invites you to join its community of partners in horticulture and plant science by becoming a member, making a gift to the annual fund, including the Arboretum in your estate planning, or contributing your time and talents as an Arboretum volunteer.
