Volunteers are essential to the Arboretum’s educational mission of fostering knowledge and appreciation of life science and the natural world. We offer a variety of great opportunities interact with the living collections, fellow educators, horticulturalists, historians, visitors, visiting scholars, the library, and so much more. Arboretum docents also enjoy library borrowing privileges. Training and guidance by Arboretum staff is included.

István Racz and Zsolt Debreczy are world-renowned denrologists with a long and storied association with Arnold Arboretum. They are authors of Conifers around the world : conifers of the temperate zones and adjacent regions, published in 2011 by DendroPress. We have many thousands more of their photographs available to view in the library.
